The lawyers at CHS LEGAL s.r.o., advokátní kancelář, have been focusing, on a long-term basis, on the issue of personal data and the protection thereof, including, for example, the sending of unsolicited messages, camera monitoring or loyalty schemes.
In view of the fact that the relevant Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (also known as the „GDPR“) entered into force on 25 May 2018 , the activities of the law firm in this field have become all the more intensive.
The firm‘s partner Mgr. Jaroslav Hroza, has taken part in consultations and discussions on the topic of the GDPR and its application in everyday practice, e.g. including within the scope of the conference „GDPR – Everyday Implementation in State Administration“ organized by the Coordinator of Digital Agenda of the Cabinet Office of the Czech Republic in conjunction with the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic and the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Czech Republic, with financial support from the European Commission‘s Structural Reform Support Programme.
CHS LEGAL s.r.o., advokátní kancelář, has, in collaboration with its clients, prepared a concept for the implementation of the GDPR into clients‘ processes and contractual documentation, both inwards (by setting internal regulations and training employees), as well as outwards (drafting personal data protection notices). Discussions are held in order to deal with issues that have not yet been sufficiently resolved within the theory, or, of course, within practice. As the GDPR is valid within the territory of the entire EU, we monitor the decision-making practice of foreign courts and authorities in the field.
